We follow robots.txt and sitemap indexes, as WordPress, Shopify and most CMSs publish them, and read up to 500 of your pages.
Real titles and descriptions
The titles and meta descriptions of the 40 most important pages go straight into the draft, without the "| Site name" every title repeats.
Sections that make sense
Pages are grouped by where they live (Products, Blog, Docs, About), and privacy and terms go to the Optional section llmstxt.org reserves for them.
The noise left out
Carts, account pages, tag and author archives, feeds, pagination and files are dropped before you see the draft.

How it works
Read the sitemap
We fetch your robots.txt and sitemaps, then the titles of the pages most likely to belong in the file. Without a sitemap, we use the links on your home page.
Draft the file
Pages are grouped into sections, shallow and recent pages first, with at most 12 per section so the file stays an index and not a second sitemap.
Edit and download
Change anything, watch the file update, then copy it or download llms.txt and upload it to the root of your site.
We read titles from 40 pages; the others get a title made from their address, so check those before you publish. We never read page text, so the descriptions are yours to improve.
Questions
Is this really free?
Yes. getReport is funded by donations, not plans. You can read 10 sites every 10 minutes from one connection, and a site read in the last 12 hours comes from the cache.
What is llms.txt?
A Markdown file at /llms.txt that lists your most useful pages with a line on each, proposed at llmstxt.org in 2024. It gives an AI assistant a short map of your site instead of making it crawl every page.
Do ChatGPT, Claude or Google use it?
Adoption is early. Google has said its search does not use llms.txt. Coding assistants and documentation tools read it, and some AI crawlers fetch it. It takes ten minutes to publish, so it is a cheap bet, not a ranking factor.
Where do I put the file?
At the root of your site, so it answers at yourdomain.com/llms.txt, served as text/plain or text/markdown. On WordPress, an SEO plugin or a file upload to the web root does it; on Shopify, a redirect from /llms.txt to a file in Content → Files.
Which pages belong in it?
The ones that answer questions people ask about you, such as what you sell or do, prices, shipping, returns, how-tos and contact. Leave out anything a visitor would not bookmark.
How do I check the file once it is live?
Run the AI crawler check on your site. It reads /llms.txt with the same rules as this editor and also shows which AI crawlers your robots.txt lets in.
