How it works
Read the page
We fetch your page and list every file under /wp-content/plugins/, plus the comments and headers SEO and caching plugins leave.
Measure in Chrome
The page loads in a real browser. Every request is matched to its plugin, so each plugin gets its own kilobytes, requests and time.
Check wordpress.org
Each plugin is looked up in the wordpress.org directory for its latest version, last update and whether it was closed.
We only see what a page loads for visitors. Backup, security and admin-only plugins load nothing on the front end, so they don't appear.

Is this really free?

Why is a plugin I use missing?
A plugin appears only when it loads something on the page you checked. Plugins that work in the admin area (backups, security, redirects) or only on other pages (a form on the contact page) load nothing here. Check the page where the plugin is used.
Does it show premium plugins?
Yes, when they load assets on the page. Premium plugins are not in the wordpress.org directory, so they have no update date or closed status.
What does "closed" mean?
wordpress.org removed the plugin from the directory, usually for an unfixed security issue or a guideline violation. The reason is shown; replace the plugin.
Why does plugin cost matter?
Every active plugin can add scripts and styles to every page. A slider used on the home page alone still loads on the checkout, and two plugins for the same job print conflicting tags or serve stale pages. The cost table shows which plugin your visitors are waiting for.
Can I check many sites?
You can check 10 sites every 10 minutes and 50 a day from one connection. For more at once, the bulk URL checker and the bulk PageSpeed checker take lists of URLs; a free API is in development. Cached reports never count against the limit.
