Website change monitor: Want to know the day a page changes?

Monitor a website for changes without an account. We read the page once a day and email you the lines that were added or removed, and nothing when it stays the same.

Switches on with donations

The monitor is built and tested. Reading pages every day and sending email costs money, so it switches on for everyone, free, as soon as donations cover it. Until then, the example below shows what an alert looks like.

  • Free, no account
  • Checked once a day
  • Up to 5 pages per email address
Example alert

example-shop.hr

Subject: Changed: example-shop.hr · https://example-shop.hr/shop/sava-low/

Run it on your site

New text

  • Price: €99 (autumn sale until 12 October)
  • Sizes in stock: 38 39 40 41 42

Removed text

  • Price: €129
  • Sizes in stock: 36 37 38 39 40 41 42 43 44

Every alert ends with two links: stop watching this page, or stop all emails from us.

What this tool checks

Only the text a visitor can read is compared, so a new script version or ad slot does not send you an email.

  • Text, not markup

We compare the visible text of the page, line by line. Changes to HTML, scripts, styles or tracking codes are ignored.

  • What changed, in the email

The alert lists the new and removed lines, up to 25 of each, so you see the change without opening the page.

  • Quiet by default

No email when nothing changed, and none when the page could not be read. A failed day keeps the last good text for the next comparison.

  • Confirmed by email

Nothing is watched until you click the link we send. Nobody can sign your address up for alerts.

  • Stop in one click

Every alert has a link to stop that page or everything, and mail apps show an unsubscribe button.

  • Your address stays private

The address is stored encrypted and used only for these emails. No newsletter, no tracking pixels.

How it works

  1. Enter a page and your email

Any public page, such as a competitor's pricing page, a supplier's terms or a job listing, and the address the alerts go to.

  2. Confirm the link

We email you a link. The page is watched from the moment you use it, and the first reading becomes the baseline.

  3. Get an email on change

Once a day we read the page again. When its text changed, you get one email with the added and removed lines.

Pages are read once a day as our server sees them, without JavaScript, so text that only appears after scripts run or behind a login is not compared.

Questions

How do I get an alert when a web page changes?

Enter the page and your email address, then click the link we send you. From then on we read the page once a day, and when its visible text changed you get one email listing up to 25 added and 25 removed lines. Nothing is watched until you confirm, so nobody can sign your address up for alerts.

Is it free, and why is the form not there yet?

It is free, with no account. The monitor is built and tested, but watching pages every day costs server time and email, so it is a funded unlock: it switches on for everyone once donations cover the daily checks. Until then you see an example alert, and the funding page shows what switches on next.

What counts as a change?

Only the text a visitor can read, compared line by line. A new layout, colours, images, scripts, ad slots or tracking codes with the same words is not a change here, which keeps alerts meaningful for prices, terms, job listings and product pages. Text that appears only after JavaScript runs or behind a login is not read.

Will I get an email every day?

No. You get an email only on a day the text of the page changed. Most pages change rarely, so most days you hear nothing. No email is sent when the page could not be read either; a failed day keeps the last good text, so the next successful reading is compared with it.

Why can I watch only 5 pages?

Five pages per email address keeps the daily run small and free for everyone. The limit is per email address, not per person or team. Pick the pages where a change matters most, such as a competitor's pricing page or a supplier's terms, and stop one any time to make room for another.

How do I stop the alerts?

Every alert has two links, one to stop that page and one to stop all emails from us, and mail apps that support it show an unsubscribe button. One click is enough, and there is no account to log into. After you stop all pages we send nothing more.

What do you store about me?

Your email address, encrypted, and for each page its address and the latest text we read, which we need for the comparison. No name, no password, no newsletter and no tracking pixels. The address is used only for these alerts, and stopping all pages means we send nothing more.
